"Just as each of us has one body
with many members,
and these members do not all have
the same function,
so in Christ we who are many
form one body,
and each member belongs
to all the others"

Romans 12: 3-5

Our history

First Holywood
Presbyterian Church
has a history dating back
to the 17th century

Although the site of the church building has changed
several times
there has been
a Presbyterian witness
in the town for 400 years
The attached history
shows how the church
has developed
and provides a record
which reflects
the way the congregation has sought to meet
the changing needs of its people
