Welcome

We would like to start with saying welcome to our website. At First Holywood Presbyterian Church we seek to help you discover Christ. Please feel free to have a look through our site and contact us if you would like to talk to one of our leadership team.

Every Sunday we have a service which starts @11 am. We would love you to join in with our worship and praise God with us.

During the service there is a Creche in the Minor Hall for babies and young children.

Older children and young teenagers can leave church after the second hymn to go to GLEEM.  At GLEEM they praise God, listen to Bible stories, have craft activities and rejoin the congregation for the last hymn.

Following the morning service tea and coffee is available in the Worship Centre.

SUNDAY EVENINGS @ 6.30pm there is a more informal service in the Worship Centre and on the 1st Sunday of the month there is a service including Prayers for Healing

Recordings of Sunday morning services are available here.

Our history

First Holywood Presbyterian Church has a history dating back to the 17th century. Although the site of the church building has changed several times there has been a Presbyterian witness in the town for 400 years. The attached history gives some idea of how the church has developed and provides a record which reflects the way the congregation has sought to meet the changing needs of its people.
